< El Salvador s victory in the Summer Twilight Nights Race was the highlight of a Limerick double for Aidan and Joseph O'Brien.

The champion jockey was allowed to dictate terms to suit himself on the 15-8 chance and when Irish Cesarewitch winner Voleuse De Coeurs threw down her challenge, he had enough in the locker to quicken again, crossing the line with two and a quarter lengths in hand.

His stablemate Marchese Marconi (2-7 favourite), who was turned over at long odds-on at Dundalk just over a week ago, made amends with a determined display to dispose of useful jumper Prima Vista by four and a quarter lengths in the Festival Of Speed Maiden.

The brace was compensation for the defeat of Ballydoyle's Hanky Panky who was beaten by Mizzava in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.

Hanky Panky, who finished fourth in Listed company last term, looked booked for victory when hitting the front, but she was mown down by the Mick Halford-trained winner, who left a moderate Dundalk debut a long way behind to oblige at odds of 25-1.

The application of blinkers enabled Diesel Ten to show tremendous resolution to see off Hold The Line in a thrilling finish to the UL Racing Society (C & G) Median Auction Maiden.

Dermot Weld's 7-1 shot appeared set for minor honours when headed 100 yards from the finish, but he responded to all of Pat Smullen's urgings and got back up by a short head.

Stepping back up to a mile did the trick for Star Links (8-1), who continued the excellent run of form of 3lb claimer Ronan Whelan in the www.limerickraces.ie Online Special Packages Handicap.< Vasoni (9-2) gained the second success of her career in the Tote Jackpot Handicap, while the 'It's A Student's Life' Handicap went the way of The Four Elms
