Tennessee Wildcat & Colin Keane (outside) prove too good for Captain Joy & Pat Smullen

< Tennessee Wildcat continued his progress with a determined success in the Copper Face Jacks Glencairn Stakes, the feature event at Leopardstown on Thursday evening.
The outsider of the quartet at 7-1, Ger Lyons' charge tracked Captain Joy into the home straight and the pair pulled clear in an exciting finish.
Colin Keane's mount forged ahead close home and landed the Listed contest by three-quarters of a length.
Brendan Backan nicked third place from My Titania who was sent off 10-11 favourite on her seasonal reappearance but John Oxx's filly couldn't land a serious blow after failing to settle in the early stages.< Tanaza (2-1fav) created a favourable impression when making a winning debut in the opening Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden.
The well-related Dubawi filly stormed down the outside to take it up from Aidan O'Brien newcomer Minding inside the final furlong and went on to give Dermot Weld a first two-year-old winner of the season by two and a half lengths.
O'Brien had better luck with his other debutant as Port Douglas (4-5fav) landed the odds in the Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. (C & G) Maiden.
