Champion jockey Joseph O'Brien was in double form at Gowran Park with victories for his father Aidan on Heirloom and for Eoin Doyle on Days Ahead

Heirloom (2-1 favourite) got there late on to take the Next Meeting Gowran Park October 4th & 5th Handicap by a length, but he had to pull out all the stops as Todd showed no sign of stopping in his attempt to lead all the way.

David Wachman's 10-3 joint-favourite Ruler Of France visored for the first time, had to work hard to overhaul outsider Lady Ultra to capture the Rooftop Restaurant At Gowran Park Nursery Handicap by half a length under Wayne Lordan.

Trainer Jane Foley recorded her first victory of the season when Surreal (3-1) led all the way in the Follow Gowran Park On Facebook Fillies Maiden and forged four and a quarter lengths clear in the final furlong under Gary Carroll.

There was no evidence to suggest Last Minute Lisa might break her duck at the 18th attempt in the Kilkenny Handicap, but Chris Hayes made the most of the number one draw and Shane Donohoe's 20-1 shot led all the way to score by two and a quarter lengths.
