He soon saw off Gordon Elliott's representative and stormed five and a half lengths clear, with last year's winner Bahrain Storm staying on past Dirar for second.

Elliott enjoyed better luck in the Perfect Pint Beginners Chase when Chicago Grey (4-1) held off the Dermot Weld-trained Prince Erik who was far from fluent at his fences but still rallied gamely to be beaten a neck.

Weld struck a rare blank on the day and his Force Of Habit couldn't add to Monday's win here in the Arthur's Legacy Handicap, which went the way of 25-1 outsider Dusty Trail who completed a double for young Joseph O'Brien.
