< Rogue Angel displayed a never-say-die attitude to claim top honours in the BoyleSports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse.
Mouse Morris' 16-1 shot had failed twice in the race previously but won the Kerry National under Ger Fox, who was back on and led his rivals a merry dance.
Ruby Walsh crept into contention on Bless The Wings and jumped the last just in front, but Rogue Angel wouldn't lie down and got the nod in a photo. Ballyadam Approach was third, with Folsom Blue fourth.< Value At Risk made a successful return to Ireland in the Keelings Irish Strawberry Hurdle.
Now with Dan Skelton, having been a good bumper performer for Philip Fenton a couple of seasons ago, the well-supported 11-4 shot made much of the running in the hands of his trainer's brother Harry, who kept enough up his sleeve when pressed by Marchese Marconi to score by a length and a half.< Slowmotion got off the mark on these shores at the second time of asking in the REA Grimes Property Consultants Juvenile Hurdle.
In the expected absence of yesterday's Grade One winner Jer's Girl, Barry Geraghty switched to the 2-1 favourite and he oozed confidence throughout before easing his mount to a seven-length defeat of Rashaan
Geraghty followed up when driving Sutton Place to a stirring victory in the Rathbarry & Glenview Studs Novice Hurdle.
So impressive when seeing off Royal Caviar at Naas, the 13-8 market leader had that rival for company in front when getting the last wrong, but Geraghty regrouped and his willing partner got himself back in front by half a length.
Kim Bailey said before the John & Chich Fowler Memorial EBF Mares Chase that Emily Gray (evens favourite) will be heading to the breeding sheds and she bows out on a high after a determined victory.< Just Cause gave National hero Morris further reason to celebrate in the Fleet Connect Handicap Hurdle, while On The Shannon won the Fred Kenny Lifetime Service To Racing Novice Handicap Chase and Blow By Blow took the Boomerang Animal Bedding Flat Race.
