< Mallowney put up a superb display to see off strong opposition in the feature Underwriting Exchange Dan Moore Memorial Handicap Chase at Fairyhouse.
Tim Doyle's smart nine-year-old (8-1) tackled Grade One company in the Dial-A-Bet Chase on his last start and finished some way behind Bright New Dawn who was renewing rivalry on better terms this time and was sent off the 15-8 favourite.
It was a different story, however, as Davy Russell slipped Mallowney into the lead after the third-last and was never troubled thereafter as the gelding skipped over the final two fences before beating the market leader easily by 10 lengths.< Dromnea got off the mark over fences at Limerick over Christmas and followed up in a close contest for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Rated Novice Chase.
David Casey was always close to the lead on Mouse Morris's eight-year-old (7-2), who led going to the final fence and then pulled out the stops to hold the odds-on Champagne James by three-quarters of a length, with Gallant Tipp another neck away.
Tony McCoy got among the winners when the Willie Mullins-trained Florishwells D'Ete (2-1 favourite), who was always up with the pace, asserted entering the straight in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase and came clear to score by six and a half lengths.
Paul Carberry wasn't hanging about on Officieux in the Fundraisers At Fairyhouse Maiden Hurdle and nothing got near enough to challenge Noel Meade's 11-2 shot, who had it won from some way out and coasted in by 12 lengths.
Favourite Baily Cloud s exit two out in the Easter Festival 5th-7th April Maiden Hurdle left the way clear for a JP McManus one-two and Eoin Griffin's 10-1 shot Rathpatrick proved stronger than Oscar Knight winning by four and a half lengths under Mark Walsh.< Might Be Magic looked booked for second when collared by Go Anna Go heading to the last in the Ward Union Hunt Raceday Handicap Hurdle, but Tom Foley's well-backed 8-1 shot rallied well under the trainer's son Pat and got home a head in front.
