< Seefood made a winning return to fences in the Ballinrobe Race Committee Chase on Tuesday.

Twice placed in Grade Two company over hurdles, the Dessie Hughes-trained gelding had disappointed on both outings in that sphere since opening his chase account at Kilbeggan last month.

The even-money favourite tracked front-runner Rough Justice before taking it up approaching the last fence, at which Willie Mullins' charge made a mistake and allowed Barry Geraghty to cruise home 20 lengths clear of his market rival.< Gentleman Duke returned from nearly six months on the sidelines to land the John Mulhern Memorial Handicap Hurdle, the feature race of the afternoon.

Arthur Moore's six-year-old was given a fine front-running ride by David Casey, whose decision to steal a march as they turned for home proved decisive.< Coldstonesober closed the gap late on to get within two and three-quarter lengths of the 12-1 chance, with Res Ipsa Loquitur back in third.

Jody McGarvey completed a double when Kanesh (9-2) came out on top in an exciting battle with Of The Hook in the www.ballinroberacecourse.ie Handicap Hurdle.

There was nothing between the pair over the last twice fences but the winner pulled a bit more on the run in to score with two lengths to spare.

McGarvey had earlier got a fine tune out Daigreen (7-1), who relished the return Ballinrobe when opening his National Hunt account in the Lough Carra Handicap Hurdle.
