Walsh Quickly Back in his Stride
Ruby Walsh was quickly back in action following his terrible fall at Kilbeggan on Friday night when guiding the well-backed Sher Why Not to a fluent success in the Packie Downey Memorial Chase.
In front after three out, the favourite probably had Schelm s measure when a very good leap at the last sealed the issue in his favour, Colm Murphy's charge going on to prevail by seven lengths. Knock On The Head the chief market rival to Sher Why Not, didn't jump well and didn't look happy at any stage, eventually finishing last of the five finishers.
Murphy said of the winning eleven-year-old: "We've been waiting a while for that. He'll go for a winners hurdle next as he is the wrong side of the handicapper. He has had his problems."
