The Shay Slevin trained Tabhachtach claimed his third racecourse success at Punchestown today when winning the Admission All Non Festival Racedays Handicap Hurdle under the trainer's son Mark Slevin.

The winner race prominently and stayed on well from the last to catch World Citizen on the run-in, for a three and a half lemgths win.

Afterwards Slevin Senior stated “he had a good run at Navan and the ground is probably a help to him as he wouldn't want it too soft. I just thought he was a bit high in the ratings over fences so we switched back to hurdles and if he doesn't go too high, he could go for another hurdle.

“Mark suits him. He has rode him to all his wins and seems to get the best out of him.”
