The Dermot Weld trained Tested rewarded strong market confidence to win the Ladies Day June 21st Fillies Race at Gowran today, scoring comfortably under Leigh Roche.

The winner, backed from even money in the morning into 4/11f, quickened well in the closing stages for a two and a half lengths win over Colour Blue

Afterwards Weld stated “she did what you'd expect and Leigh was pleased with her. He said she got a little tired in the last furlong but he gave her a nice confident ride.

“I wanted her to have an easy introduction because she's a timid filly; we'll see how she progresses over the next couple of weeks and I see her as a Group class filly.”
