Andrew Slattery's victory on Dedillon in the O'Leary Insurances Handicap at Galway saw him ride out his 3lb claim.
The five-year-old mare was prominent from the stalls before picking up the lead with over a furlong travelled.
The 20/1 shot was urged along by Slattery a furlong and a half out with a host of contenders in behind.
She soon came under a drive but kept finding once strongly pressed by High Altitude inside the final furlong.
She had the race in the bag in the closing stages and increased the gap to a length and quarter at the winning post.
Runner-up High Altitude was a 5/1 chance and finished half a length in front of a staying-on Coill Na Sionainne (9/1). Fil The Power was the same distance back in fourth at 10/1.
“We probably rode her too far back in Gowran the last day,” said trainer Andrew Slattery.
“She shouldn't have been 20/1 today though. She has form with the two favourites all year and was probably better off at the weights today.
“It's grand to have a winner in Galway. She's a great filly to have.
“She was running for the 20th time when winning in Dundalk but that's her third win now.
“We'll step her up in class now off a light weight and see how we get on there.”
