Have A Nice Day bounced back to winning form on his first start for Johnny Feane in the seven-furlong handicap at Naas.
The seven-year-old gelding has been somewhat of a Curragh specialist in his career but this was actually his ninth success.
David Simmonson (who was on board for his last victory at the Curragh in July 2016) got a great tune out of him from sixth at the furlong pole. The pair stormed home to get up in the closing stages and win by a neck at 10/1. Mr Right the 4/1 favourite, was the horse headed near the line while The Eyes Have It (11/2) was the same distance back in third.
Johnny Feane said: "I thought he would come on for the run today. He ran a little behind the bridle and was a bit rusty but David gave him a grand ride.
"There is a handicap at the Curragh next weekend that would suit him, so if he comes out of this okay he could go there. He's won four times at the Curragh before.
"He's very versatile and can run over six, seven or a mile. Hopefully he can go on from here."
