Edward O'Grady's Shakeytry (8/1) defied top weight in the 2m1f handicap chase at Fairyhouse with a game effort.
The 11-year-old held an ideal position as he tracked front-running Alice Avril before assuming the lead approaching the home bend.
The contenders began to close on him after two out, but a lovely nimble jump at the last saw the leader get away from it well and he was able to see off a staying-on Union Park (7/1) by three parts of a length. Dont Go Yet (11/1 from 25/1 in the morning) looked the danger on the run to the last, but dropped to third close home.
Jockey Phillip Enright said: “He's in great form and a lot of it goes down to 'Shakey' who owns him with Michael Lowry. He minds him like a baby, he loves him and he's his pride and joy.
“He said to me today, weighing out, that he was as good as he was in Naas.
“He travels lovely and jumps brilliantly, he did it well again.
“He kept galloping, the weight slowed him down a bit from the back of the last to the line. He was looking for the line but thankfully we got there.”
Shakeytry carried 11st 12lb to victory and supplemented an eight-length success at Naas earlier in the month.
