Roving Mission won going away in the Derek O'Sullivan Memorial Apprentice Handicap at the Curragh.
The four-year-old filly raced towards the rear before motoring into contention a furlong and a half down. She made relentless headway to hit the lead in the final 150 yards.
She strode on by a length and three quarters at 5/1. Intervention was the horse headed by her and he had to settle for second at 16/1. Amarantha (22/1) and 66/1 shot Gregory's Gift completed the placings.
Willie McCreery said: “I thought he (Nathan Crosse) was very good on her from a wide draw. She settled, got into a lovely rhythm and she quickened all the way to the line.
“She deserved that as she’s been trying hard and just not getting home. She ran a great race in Galway from a bad draw.
“I’m delighted for the lads (Highland Bloodstock Limited) who are a syndicate from Kilkenny and Dubai.”
