Riven Light makes his seasonal bow in Friday's TRI Equestrian Silver Stakes at the Curragh.
Although Willie Mullins' charge was last seen when disappointing at Naas in November, he has bags of talent and boasts a rating of 111, which puts him in pole position here. The King is next best on 110 for Jessica Harrington and he does have the benefit of already having run once this term, finishing third behind Magical at Group Three level.
Aidan O'Brien saddles two, in Irish 2,000 Guineas ninth Old Glory and Pacific Ocean while Guaranteed Insignia Of Rank and Richard Hannon's British raider Leroy Leroy complete the seven-strong line up.
O'Brien appears to hold a decent hand in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race, with Leopardstown sixth War Leader lining up alongside unraced stablemates Royal County Down and Year Of The Tiger
The latter has a particularly eye-catching pedigree as a daughter of Galileo out of speedy juvenile Tiggy Wiggy.
The Ballydoyle team also fields three in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C&G) Maiden, headed by Lope Y Fernandez a half-brother to Group Two winner Dark Vision. Kipling is a brother to Irish Oaks winner Seventh Heaven, while Mythologic does not have quite the same claims on pedigree.
King’s Vow and Cuban Hope both head into the TRM’s 'Calphormin' Handicap on the back of recent victories, with My Laureate and Woody Creek having similar claims in the TRM’s 'Stride' Junefest Handicap.
