On what turned out to be his only ride of the night, after the defection of Deep Speed earlier, Joseph O'Brien made the journey to Dundalk worthwhile when winning on the former David Wachman-trained top-weight Street Party (polytrack debut) in the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap.

Now in the care of Mrs Julie Cashin, the Rock Of Gibraltar gelding was providing his Killenaule-based handler with her first success as a married woman. She has had winners in the past under her maiden name of Weston.

Here the pace-setting Street Party drifted right at the business end and he had to survive a steward's enquiry before being confirmed the head victor over Settle For Red (the well-backed favourite).

The gambled-on Bog War had every chance down the outer in the straight but he eventually had to settle for fifth place.

The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Street Party, ridden by J.P. O'Brien, placed first, Stynes ridden by E.J. McNamara, placed third, Bog War, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed fifth, Settle For Red, ridden by S. Foley, placed second and Fiftyshadesofred ridden by N.G. McCullagh, placed fourth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judges placings but advised S. Foley to ride with more care
