Danny O'Connell trained his first winner on the flat since June 2004 when winning The Gilna's Cottage Inn Maiden with Topenhall ridden by Davy Condon and owned by Sam Cooper.

O'Connell said afterwards, "He is owned by Sam Cooper and Sam came all the way over from England to see the horse win today. He's been showing good speed at home and has been running well over hurdles. He very seldom gets the ground he likes but he got it today and well look for another flat for him now."
