Lucky Pass a point-to-point winner when with Brian Hamilton back in April, brought up a Fairyhouse treble for Willie Mullins when taking the Dunganny Centre Of Excellence Meath GAA Raceday (Pro/Am) Flat Race.
A 140,000 purchase later in April, Lucky Pass is now in the ownership of Gigginstown House Stud and they were victorious earlier too with No More Heroes in the Drinmore.
Michael O'Leary stayed on to watch his Patrick Mullins-ridden 2/1 joint favourite, Lucky Pass, overcome a touch of greenness when in front as he kept up the gallop to beat promising first-time out mare, Avellino
"He was showing a nice bit at home and I'm happy that he showed it on the track as well," reported Mullins, earlier victorious on the double in Grade 1 fare with Long Dog and Arctic Fire
"He's a big, green horse and Brian Hamilton said he was like that in his point as well. Patrick took his time as he was so green at home, and he wanted a lead all the way around. He'll go for a winners bumper."
The Stewards interviewed Mr B.J. White, rider of Mount Marcus Baker concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(b), in that he had continued to use his whip after his chance of winning or being placed had clearly gone. Having considered his inexperience, the Stewards cautioned him and ordered that he attend R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip .
Ms N. Carberry, rider of Une Lavandiere (FR) trained by Noel Meade, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount ran flat.
