Noel Meade brought up a near 10/1 Galway treble when Moulin A Vent took the concluding Jamie Kyne Memorial INH Flat Race in the hands of Nina Carberry.

Sean Flanagan rode the earlier Tu Va winners, Le Martalin and Monksland and Moulin A Vent was expected to go a couple of places better after his Goffs Land Rover Bumper third placing 168 days back, as the 7/4 favourite.

He had finished a neck ahead of Brelade that day at Punchestown, and he was again facing that Gordon Elliott trained rival on this occasion.

Those two went at it from a long way out in the concluding two miler, and it looked like it might be going Brelade's way from before the straight.

However Moulin A Vent and Carberry weren't for beating and they had the upper hand at the finish by half a length. They left The Granson fifteen lengths back in third.

"It was a good day. He is a good horse, but wants a bit softer ground," remarked Meade.

"There was only a head between them (the winner and the runner-up Brelade) in the Land Rover, and there was only half a length between them today. He will run over hurdles now, he jumps well and we like him."

The Stewards interviewed J.R. Barry, trainer, concerning the failure to nominate a rider before the designated time for On His Toes Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the trainer was in breach of Rule 195(i) and having considered his clean record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard.

The Stewards fined Paul O'Flynn, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of See The Light in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.

The Stewards fined Joseph Patrick O'Brien, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Tommy Welsh in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order.
