The 108-rated Mustajeer sets the standard in the feature at Roscommon this evening, the Listed Lenebane Stakes.
Successful on his debut for Ger Lyons at Naas last October, the son of Medicean chased home Cliffs Of Moher on his return to action in May, before finishing second in a Listed contest at the Curragh on his most recent start.
He is tried in a hood for the first time now, and with Colin Keane in the saddle is sure to prove popular with punters.
The hat-trick seeking Kalaxana is an interesting contender for Mick Halford, while easy Curragh winner Maths Prize warrants respect.
Aidan O’Brien saddles Family Tree and Somerset Maugham with outsider Nanabad completing the line-up.
O’Brien is represented by Christmas in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden, and this son of Galileo should prove hard to beat after going down narrowly on his most recent start at Gowran.
The Ballydoyle trainer again appears the man to follow in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, with Queen Iseult his representative here.
This daughter of Camelot has most to fear from the Willie McCreery-trained Bongiorno who has finished third and fourth on her first two starts.
The Property Partners Earley Auctioneers Handicap is also for fillies only, with My Silver Nails turned out again quickly after winning at Bellewstown on Thursday. Check Your Pockets impressed at Tipperary late last month and might be able to follow up in the Roscommon Herald Handicap, with Conclusion and Mazzuri her chief rivals.
The SuperValu’s Roscommon Apprentice Handicap looks a competitive affair, with Alfirak Texas Radio and Althib a few for the shortlist here, while Regum appears the one to beat in the concluding Budweiser Maiden.
