Church Mountain made it two wins from two starts at Galway, as he made all in the James P Cunningham Electrical Handicap.
A winner over the course and distance in July, the Denis Hogan trained three-year-old since finished sixth behind Noble Seal at Bellewstown.
Available at 12/1 in early shows, the Pride Of Dubai gelding eventually went off an 11/2 chance in the colours of owner Joseph Kelly.
Soon in front under Joey Sheridan, the bay victor was ridden and went a few lengths clear over a furlong from home.
His advantage was reduced by Very Excellent in the closing stages, with a neck the winning margin.
The runner-up was returned at 14/1 (33s early) under Emmet McNamara, while Trueba (11/1) was another two-and-a-quarter lengths back in third. Chavajod was sent off the 3/1 favourite and he finished a disappointing ninth.
Sheridan said: "He jumped slow the last day at Bellewstown and it was also a sharp trip but if anything it might have helped him, as it sharpened him up a good bit.
"I had to carry him everywhere when he won at the festival and today he did everything for me. He picked up well, we were a long way clear of the third and I don't think he'll be a horse until next year.
"I'd say he might go out on a break now and he'll be a lovely dual purpose horse. Fair play to Denis as he had a winner yesterday and again today and has the horses in flying form."
