Johnny Murtagh completed a double when Ferdinand Magellan produced a game front-running performance in the Peter O'Brien Landscapes Maiden at Navan.

The Ballydoyle inmate was strongly pressed from over a furlong out by Master Performer but was always holding too many guns.

He kept on well in the closing stages for a length victory. Aidan O'Brien and Murtagh had also struck in the opening two-year-old maiden with Emperor Hadrian
