The opening Listed Greenmount Park Novice Hurdle at Limerick today went to Paddy Neville, from nearby Askeaton, trained Macville under Paul Townend.

The daughter of Christophene tracked the leaders, was ridden entering the straight before eventually getting to the front on the run-in for a two and a hlf lengths win over Drumfire

Afterwards a delighted Neville stated "Macville is improving all the time and while we had thought about going chasing until we saw this Listed race. We were hoping for some blacktype and its great to win with her. We've no plans from here but will keep tipping away with her for the time being."
