Ger Lyons and Colin Keane pleased their many supporters with a treble at Naas, that came it at odds of over 20/1. The hat-trick was completed with 11/4 favourite (backed in from much bigger prices earlier), Territory in the concluding Racing Again October 16th Maiden.
Sean Jones' Noivado and David Spratt's Doctor Geoff were the earlier scorers from Glenburnie, and here the Annette O'Callaghan-owned Territory was one of sixteen first-timers to take their place in a seven furlong two-year-old assignment.
Like plenty of the 'babies' from his yard, this Acclamation gelding knew what he was about on his 'first day at school,' and he put two and three parts of a length between himself and Saltonstall at the line.
Ballydoyle's Galilean was third, whilst Lyons also supplied the fourth home, the Emmet McNamara-ridden Insayshable
"It's been a good day's work - we'll take that," stated Lyons.
"I ran two nice horses and the two of them ran well to finish first and fourth. The fourth is a lovely horse - a half-brother to Ainippe.
"I'm delighted with that. It's seldom that happens so what's seldom is wonderful.
"We like him (the winner). Colin was saying about sticking to the trip. We don't need to go again this year with any of them so we'll go home and see how they all come out of today's work before we decide what we are doing with them.
"The owners, the O'Callaghan's of Yeomanstown Stud, are sellers. If they stay with me, great.
"It's the second one they've given me, the other one being Endless Drama, so he has big shoes to fill."
