A seven-race all-steeplechase programme awaits at Tipperary today, with the penultimate contest, the Tipperary Town Plaza Handicap Chase, being the feature on the card.
Daryl Jacob heads to his homeland for one ride, as he resumes his partnership with Gordon Elliott’s mare Mrs Lovett
A three-time winner over fences, she was not at her best last time at Limerick but had performed well a couple of times prior to that behind the prolific winner Peregrine Run.
Her main dangers may be the last-time-out winners Reach Up and Killiney Court
The mares Eoline Jolie and Put The Kettle On were both successful recently on chase debut and clash in the Rated Novice Chase, but St Lawrence Gap may put his handicap experience to good use and score here for Eoin Doyle and Donagh Meyler.
He finished a solid fifth in the Galway Plate Trial at Limerick last weekend. Make My Heart Fly is the highest-rated hurdler in the opening Mares Beginners Chase and can collect on her second start over the larger obstacles in the hands of Davy Russell. Tramore runner-up, Feeling the Love, trained by Jessica Harrington, might give her most to do. Jan Maat was beaten just a length into second behind Bay Hill at Wexford, and can go one place better in the Tipperary Racecourse Beginners Chase for Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore.
Denis Hogan ’s Ocean Glandore got off the mark over fences at Limerick, and can follow up in the Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Chase for promising claimer Darragh O’Keeffe.
The ever-popular Michael Winters can get on the scoresheet in the closing Restricted Beginners Chase with the consistent Churchtown Glen in the hands of regular partner Donie McInerney.
