Former Champion Trainer Noel Meade has made a fine start to the new season and recorded his ninth winner this new term when his Major Destination readily justified 9/10 favouritism, under jockey Danny Benson, to win the concluding Racing Again June 7th I.N.H. Bumper at Wexford today.

The son of Dubai Destination quickened clear of his rivals with over a furlong to race and in the end scored a comfortable win over Cottonvale

Afterwards Benson said "I just thought the last day in Kilbeggan that they went a bit slow for him and then caught him for toe so I wasn't going to let the same happen today.

“He is a grand horse and I'd say he will go away hurdling now for the summer. That's 33 winners for me now, so I have seven more before I'm down to three (pounds claim).”
