The ground at Sligo is Good. A dull and damp day is expected with the risk of up to 10mm of rain.

The first of seven National Hunt races is due off at 5.15pm.

There has been early money for Noel Meade's Caer in the opening maiden hurdle. On her last start she fell at the second last in Galway, when still in contention, and she is a former Roscommon bumper winner. She now trades around 11/10 from 2/1.

Oliver McKiernan 's Unexpected Depth is popular in the maiden hurdle at 6.15pm. He has shortened to evens from 2/1.

Meanwhile, the ground in Killarney ahead of racing Wednesday to Saturday is Soft (on the Flat course) and Yielding, Good to Yielding in places (on the National Hunt track) following 3mm of rain overnight. Showers are forecast today, turning heavier tomorrow (10-15mm approximately).

Elsewhere, the ground at Kilbeggan is Good. Rain is forecast and the track are monitoring the situation regarding watering. A National Hunt fixture takes place on Saturday evening.
