Whizzzey Rascal was given a fine ride from the front by Lisa O’Neill to take the Kilsheelan Mares Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel.
The 11/4 joint favourite jumped well for O’Neill, recording her 14th career victory, and stayed on strongly in the straight.
The Liz Doyle-trained mare was six and a half lengths clear at the line, with Kiera Royale holding on for second just a head in front of the other joint favourite Rosshaven Lady
Whizzzey Rascal, a half-sister to star dual-purpose performer Clondaw Warrior, was also prominent throughout when landing a bumper at Downpatrick last year.
Doyle said, "I'm delighted as she was scoping dirty all summer and I couldn't get her to scope clean.
"She's a half-sister to Clondaw Warrior and will probably go to the Tattersalls Broodmare Sale in November.
"We'll try and nick some black-type before then and there's a three-mile handicap hurdle at Gowran for her but I don't know if she will get into it. She is what she is at this stage but getting black-type would help her in November."
