Storm Away looked a decent sort when running out a cosy winner of the concluding bumper at Tipperary.
Paul Power got a lovely run up the rail turning in on the Pat Flynn-trained filly and she soon hit the front from Minella Present
She put daylight between herself and her rivals with over a furlong to run and kept on strongly for a four-length victory.
Newcomer Rally (backed from 7/1 into 9/2) stayed on in the closing stages to get up for the runner-up spot. 10/3 favourite Macnicholson was well held in fourth.
The 9/2 winner (opened 4/1) had been third in a decent mares contest at Punchestown last time having scored on her debut at Tramore previously.
“She's a very very good mare – she's a right one,” said Flynn.
“I thought she'd win at Punchestown if she went on the ground and coming here today you never know going on to faster ground. I wouldn't gallop her on that at home.
“We'll go back to the drawing board now and see how it goes. We know she not a deep winter filly but she might have a little break.
“She's up to winning a maiden on the Flat over two miles and we might aim for something a little ambitious with her.”
