Independent Missy (5/2 2nd fav) impressively won the Play The Tote Superfecta On Every Race Maiden for owner Thomas Rogers and trainer Tracey Collins at Fairyhouse.
Three weeks ago the Dandy Man filly finished second on her debut, in a Curragh maiden, at odds of 66/1.
Now in the ownership of Rogers, Independent Missy had Ross Coakley in the plate and she slammed favourite Limit Long by four lengths.
“She’s a nice filly. She had a cracking run the first day and we felt she’d stepped forward from it. She’s a full sister to Chiclet and I feel there is scope for improvement there," said Coakley.
“She hits the line well and you would say off that she will have no problem going seven. She was looking at the winning post 50 yards before it so there was a bit left in the locker.
“Tracey is a good supporter of mine and it’s good that I can repay her with a nice one.”
The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Olaf's Boy, trained by Miss Natalia Lupini, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i).
The Stewards fined Luke W. Comer, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Broadway Queen, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Broadway Queen in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
