Elusive In Paris gave John Feane and Gary Halpin a Killarney victory when taking Division Two of the mile handicap by a length and three quarters.

The 3/1 favourite raced towards the rear before being switched to the outer at the three pole. Halpin didn't ask for his effort until the pair had passed the two marker and they made rapid headway to challenge the leader Busy Bush entering the final furlong.

He soon edged ahead of her and stayed on well to win going away in the closing stages.

Busy Bush, 18/1 from a morning price of 33/1, rewarded each way punters in second with No Way Jack (9/2 from an opening show of 6/1) back in third.

John Feane said: "That's the second winner for his owner Orlagh Reynolds whose partner James Mescall claimed him after his run at Dundalk in April. That's his second win and his he has also been second so he was well claimed.

"He was unlucky the last day and was drawn 12 today but was game when he got there. We'll find another handicap for him next."
