Another newcomer obliged in race two at Killarney as Dream Ascot (6/1) came home strongly to beat odds-on-favourite Tremendous Leap into second.

Fozzy Stack's three-year-old filly completely missed the break in this extended mile maiden but Chris Hayes had her in contention in the final quarter of a mile.

The Oasis Dream filly thundered home down the outside to grab Tremendous Leap (5/6f) in the closing stages and win by half a length.

Chris Hayes said: "We liked her and the first I saw her was in the spring and we did a little breeze on the grass and I thought she worked quite well that day. She is a big filly and Fozzy just gave her time to mature.

"We were worried she'd run green as that was the only time she had been on grass and she popped out very slow. However, they went quick and started to come back to me and I'd say she's a nice filly.

"It's a surprise she won as we hadn't her drilled for today but she is obviously a nice filly. It'll depend on what the handicapper does as there are a couple of Listed races for her if he puts her up very high, if not there are a couple of fillies handicaps - it's all open to her."
