Dont Bother Me completed the pattern that developed in his form as he took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 2yo Maiden for his trainer Niall Moran with Rory Cleary in the saddle (second winner in as many days for him after Livia Galilei yesterday evening).
The son of Dark Angel finished third on his debut over the course behind Alfonso De Sousa before finishing second last time out at Galway in the maiden on the Monday won by Thunder Mountain.
Sent off at the generous odds of 13/2 this evening he was always prominent and improved to lead two furlongs out.
He was soon ridden clear and stayed on well inside the final furlong to record a comfortable two and three parts of a length success. Polished Rock finished second at 16/1 for Jessica Harrington and Fran Berry while Ballydoyle newcomer Battle Of Merengo was a further half a length back in third under Seamie Heffernan at 7/1.
The John Oxx trained, Johnny Murtagh ridden Zainda was sent off the 4/1 favourite on her debut but she could only manage a disappointing ninth.
Winning trainer Niall Moran said afterwards: "Two very good horses beat him on his first two starts. He got a very good ride.
"He will go to England now at the end of the month for a race somewhere."
Winning owner Edric Browne has eight to ten horses in training and has a runner at Sligo this evening with The Drunken Dr who is also trained by Moran.
He said afterwards: “My family have had plenty of success with horses down through the years.
"My father owned Golden Rapper who was the last horse he owned. He won the Leopardstown Chase in 1976 three weeks before he died (his father)."
