Darling to the punters at Sligo
David Casey is going well lately (third in the leading riders table) and teaming up with Arthur Moore on the J P McManus-owned Darling Harbour the Waterford-native kept up the momentum. The French-bred was available at 5/1 this morning and was backed on track from 7/2 into 5/2.
The second favourite led after three out and kept going under pressure on the run-in to see off outsider, Tiraaz To Carbury by three parts of a length. Moore was present and he said, "I will probably send this fellow to Tralee for a handicap hurdle next."
Meanwhile Shane Jackson, on the sidelines for a time through injury, rode his fourth winner of the campaign and his first since the 18th of May, when Auenschutze obliged in the Martinstown Opportunity Maiden Hurdle.
James Lambe 's 2/1 market-leader led before three out and the race was as good as over from before the next as the Tiger Hill gelding galloped on to a comfortable sixteen length victory over Dromaneen Castle The gamble of the race, reserve, Dukedom (13/2 into 3s) could manage only seventh (a mistake two out sealing his fate).
