Dadoozdart attracted some support at big prices in the opening two-year-old maiden at Naas and lunged late to land the spoils.

The Noel Meade-trained gelding was held up on the outer by Colin Keane in the five-furlong contest before launching his challenge inside the final furlong.

The son of Dawn Approach got the better of Sunday Spark in the closing stages to record a impressive two-and-a-quarter length success.

Dadoozdart traded at 20/1 this morning and eventually went to post a 10/1 shot.

“He was plenty raw going down and even through out it,” said Keane.

“The further we were going the better we were going so there is probably plenty of improvement left in him.

“Noel told me that he does things nice at home and that he will improve from the run so he wasn't too far wrong.

“He's a big horse and handled the ground well. It as soft but loose and he got through it well enough.

“For the first two-and-a-half furlongs we didn't go too hard which gave my lad a chance to get into it. Then we kind of sprinted and the further he was going the better.”
