The John Oxx trained Creekside in the colours of Sheikh Mohammed, made an impressive winning debut in the opening Naas Median Auction Maiden at Naas today.

The gelded son of Dubai Destination made all, from an outside draw of 15, to run away from his rivals, eventually scoring by three lengths over Catch The Eye

Afterwards Oxx played down any hype, saying “we’ll aim Creekside at a handicap next and see how he gets on – it is difficult to place median auction maiden winners but hopefully he’ll be able to move up the ladder a bit further.”

“Creekside was badly drawn today and he needed to jump out quickly to get a good position – in the end though he didn’t really learn a lot from today’s win.”
