Shane Foley had a day to remember in Tramore as he booted home his third winner on Paddy The Celeb

This mile and a half handicap looked to be at the mercy of 3/1 favourite Water Sprite who eased into the lead, still on the bridle, over a furlong out.

He was soon pressed though by Paddy the Celeb who was getting into top gear for Foley.

Water Sprite came off the bridle well inside the final furlong and couldn't close it out as Paddy The Celeb kept up his gallop to win by a neck at 12/1. Magnetic Force stayed on well for third at 10/1, just a head behind second.

Shane Foley said: "It's been a good days work and I still have one to come. He grinded it out well. He had a good run in Galway the last day and was flying.

"I wasn't sure if the track would suit him but he enjoyed it and he has been a grand servant to us."

Water Sprite had been hiked up 15lbs in the weights after winning at the Galway Festival.

This gave trainer Mick Halford a double on the card as his Gabardine also took the rated race under Foley.

The jockey's treble (Remarkable Lady, Gabardine and Paddy The Celeb) paid just shy of 130/1.
