He is a special horse to be able to come back to Galway and win a bumper, maiden hurdle, beginners' chase and now a flat maiden. We've had a lot of issues and it has been an uphill battle to get him here this year and if we had a cleaner run, we'd have gone straight for the Hurdle (on Thursday). It was a bit of a worry where we were with him but the engine is there. We'll see how he is in the morning and we won't be running him for the sake of it. If we can mind him, he'll reward us.

we were a bit unlucky the last day when he tipped up with a novicey fall and the tables have turned today as we had a bit of luck. It's great, he jumped around and put it back together again. Fingers crossed now we can keep it going and he could have a nice finish off to the back of the season as a novice. He jumped straight and to be fair the last day it was probably his best round of jumping up to the fall. He learned from the fall and especially today when he went to the last, he had a good head of steam down to it and he was able to sit up and pop. He's learning and so are we. It's a big monkey off David's back to come back here and do that in a big race today, a Grade 3 race especially at Thurles with the Molonys. It's a great race to win with the Mullins' being so close to the Molonys over the years. It's a proud moment to win that race.

You have to have a big engine to be able to win these races that he’s winning. He’s very well balanced. He’s on the ball. He’s clever. He was a bit cautious at a few of the fences but his first run over fences, you’d expect that. He’s safe enough, he’s very aware of what’s going around him. He’s a bit special. David (Mullins) said he was just a bit deliberate at his jumps today. He said he wasted an awful lot of energy in the air. He was putting an awful lot of emphasis on his jumps. He said take his time and look after him. We’ll probably have to do a bit more schooling. You’d usually be happy enough if you won your beginners' around Galway. We’re not sure what’s going to come next. It’s great to get the novice chase campaign off to a winning start and hopefully can keep going in the same vein of form as we did last year.

We're delighted and it's a great pot for this series,. It's brilliant for the middle market at the sales and it's going to create huge interest at the upcoming stores sales this year. He's a very versatile horse and I'd imagine we'll keep him on the go for the rest of the summer and he might end up at the Galway festival. The Mees' season kind of revolves around Galway and I'd say we'll be mapping a route to there. Where he'll pitch up I'm not so sure. He's a point-to-point winner so chasing is another option but he's a very versatile horse. He won his bumper around there and I'd say he'd have the gears if we went the Flat route. I have about 15 horses for the track at the minute and it's great when you have horses like this to put your name up in lights on a big day like today.

he met with a setback after the Galway win. It was a bit disappointing at the time as I thought we were going to miss our novice season. I'm delighted to get him back and the showed there that he hasn't lost anything with the time off. We'll look at the final of this series now. He's a point-to-point winner and the extra half mile in that should be right up his street.

He’s a lovely horse and did that the hard way as he didn’t give Derek much of a chance early on. He was very keen. Hopefully he’ll switch off and learn to race and he could be a nice horse for the future. I’d imagine he’ll go over hurdles now. He’s won a point-to-point and gave an exhibition of jumping that day. It’s his first run for me and three weeks ago I didn’t know if he’d make it here or not. I only turned the screw and he came alive straight away. I’d imagine he likes this type of ground.
