I think she just needed the run. It’s great for a local syndicate from Blackrock and I think there was 37 of them here today so the pressure was on. That’s great to get a flat win into that pedigree. She’s in foal to Fascinating Rock and we’ve leased her off John O’Connor (breeder). If we get into the Galway Hurdle we might go there next. The plan was to come here because the boys are all locals and hopefully that run will bring her on.

She gave us a fright at the second last. She’s related to Nikini and is tough like her which is a great thing in a pedigree. She will go to Galway now for the Listed two-mile novice hurdle and try pick up some more black type. The syndicate are great fun, ex-students from Blackrock, and they are travelling around and getting to see all of Ireland.

She was (very good). She was very keen - in Aintree I dropped her in because she can be so keen and she didn't go at all, but today she was in my hands everywhere, even though we were going a super strong gallop. She hurdled fantastically, she is like a cat. She's not big, one of the smallest in the yard. Even the last hurdle where she was wrong, she was quick at it. She will probably be a better hurdle mare than she was a bumper mare. They are (owners having great fun), they are from Blackrock College which would have been my opponents when I was back in school. They are well able to celebrate!

I was very impressed with that. She doesn't do anything very fast at home but she's always there at the end of her work and she showed the same today. I thought she was going to be swallowed up two-and-a-half furlongs down but she just kept going and the further she went the better she kept going. I think I'm going to have a crack at one of those Listed mares' bumpers. We might give her a little break now and come back and have a go at one of those.
