Reports in which Unklipped (IRE) was mentioned
Easy win for Leahy's Unklipped
The Denis Leahy-trained Unklipped defied top-weight, as she easily accounted for her 12 rivals in the Ballagh Mares Handicap Hurdle. Fri 29th NovOne Night now has two wins
A short head and the same were the margins between the first three home after an exciting conclusion to the Kerry Group Irish EBF (Mares) Handicap Hurdle at Listowel. One Night Standard (20s into 12s) just prevailed much to the delight of the victorious Santana Syndicate. Sun 22nd SepShine rides first track winner on 200/1 Unklipped
It was a memorable day in Kilbeggan for Cal Shine who rode his first track winner on 200/1 outsider Unklipped in the qualified riders' maiden hurdle. Mon 19th Jun
After race at Kilbeggan Mon, 19th Jun, 2023 (1st)
Heather (Buckle, owner) came over from England today to see her run. The last day we were very disappointed, she just put up no performance. We just thought she needed to be ridden more positively,. Obviously, it was a surprise. I told Heather all winter that we have a mare that's well capable, but things just need to click. Her pedigree isn't bad. To be fair, Cal gave her a great ride and that's what she needed. The handicapper can't be too hard on her as the highest-rated horse in the race was 104. Hopefully, he won't crucify us. We're only getting to her now and I hope she'll improve. She'll jump a fence in time.
