After race at Sligo Wed, 14th Sep, 2022 (1st)
I fancied Ferdia a bit more but this is a smashing horse. I'd say he struggled throughout the race because his main aim is Listowel and this race should put him right. I'm not sure yet what race he'll go for next week. He'll definitely have taken a blow there. I worked him with The Dara Man (pulled up injured earlier on the card) and The Dara Man worked a lot better than him but he obviously improved from the work. A horse like him that won two bumpers, when he jumped the last upsides he was always going to quicken past those. He has a bit of class. Kevin gave him a peach of a ride and that's three rides, three winners he's had for me now in the last week.

I told someone before the race that he'd win by eight or ten lengths and he won by nine!. That horse is flying and Gillian (Ryan, daughter) has transformed him. He was running and running and we couldn't figure him out but in fairness she figured he had ulcers and got on top of it. He won two bumpers when he looked a real little horse and please God he is coming back to that level. He'll be a smashing chaser and I wanted to run him in a beginners' chase but Gillian wouldn't let me, as we want him for the summer.

I'm thinking about a big handicap for him, maybe at Listowel,. Bryan Cooper was disappointed at Galway. He said he missed the start and just couldn't get the run he wanted after that. He felt as though he was the best horse in the race that day. When he came home it was as if he was never in Galway, so I had to come here because he was so well. That was only a piece of work for him! Shane (Fitzgerald) said he never came off the bridle.

After race at Ballinrobe Tue, 20th Jul, 2021 (1st)
He deserved that. For a horse that won two bumpers it took him a long time to win over hurdles. He had ulcers and my daughter Gillian did serious work with him. I also want to thank the physio and everyone else who helped with him. We just needed to sort out his problems and we've done that now. Gillian also did loads of work with The Dara Man as well.

After race at Cork Sun, 20th Oct, 2019 (1st)
He was lucky he wasn't brought down and he'd have won easily, . He (Liam Quinlan) said another horse came straight across him. The way he was hampered he was very lucky he wasn't brought down and it is seldom a horse is blocked and will pick up again. In fairness Liam didn't panic and gave him a good ride. We ran him back quick in a bumper to see would we go the bumper route and we'll now either run him in a Listed bumper or a maiden hurdle. He has loads of foot and only for his speed he wouldn't have gotten out of trouble today. He loves soft ground, the softer the better and is not ground dependant in any circumstance. He is out of Presenting mare who was out of a Supreme Leader mare so isn't ground dependant.
