His owner Jimmy Fairhurst wrote to Gary (O'Gorman, handicapper) about the horse last week but he loves fast ground and around here you have to be near the front and the other horse (Galician Girl) helped him along. He always wins a couple of races every year and the boys have had great fun with him. He has been a great horse and when he gets down to his mark he wins his races. He is in at Roscommon on Monday and I'd say he'll have to run as Gary won't be too easy on him.

We got 4lb for the other night and we were forced to run him today, he wants a mile. The only thing I will say is I thought the ground was riding slower tonight and I suppose it made a big difference to him. Jimmy (Fairhurst) and the boys from Ardee own him and they wanted to dedicate it to a fella called Pat Coyle, a great friend of Jimmy's who passed away a few weeks ago. He loved going racing. I had to run him too because it was the last chance in that grade, he has gone up above it (new mark of 68).

He has been running solid away there all year and he wanted a bit of good ground, and we hadn't been getting it the last six weeks. Ronan was class on him there today, he was drawn 13. The pace is not breaking down today, they are being there all the way. The top three were there all the way. Yeah he will (get a good stint over the winter series in Dundalk), we will try and win with him again. When you have a horse like him, the handicapper stops him for a while and then you have to wait, but he is a sure-fire winner every year.

I often tell young lads to count to 10 and I'd say he counted to 20 up the straight! He's just a class apart and he didn't panic. Two runs ago the horse was second and got 4lb, sometimes the handicapper does that to you up here during the winter and that can stop you for the rest of the year. He's won four times for us since we bought him last July so he owes us nothing and he's a great fun horse. He might get a little break and then kick on back on the turf. I think Ronnie made the big difference there. He just didn't get involved, put the horse asleep and left him asleep until the last furlong.

we ran him on soft ground (at Bellewstown) and he probably just didn’t handle it. We gave him a week off and freshened him up. He was very impressive the last day we ran him here and when he was still in this grade we thought we’d try it once more. He quickened up lovely and he’s probably just a step above these horses. Hopefully the handicapper won’t be too hard on him and we’ll tip away here for the winter. He’s improving all the time.

He was a very cheap horse during the summer. I'm delighted with him and Ronny gave him another very good ride, he was class on him and bided his time. I told him to drop him out and take his time. They went a real hard gallop. He's just improving. I have him in a few races at Listowel and he has to go again probably because the handicapper is going to hammer him. We'll see what he gets on Monday but more than likely he'll be declared anyway. He's paid his way and is a real fun horse.

We bought him in July in England, he was a cheap horse (£6,500) whose form petered out. We ran him last time in Roscommon and he didn't seem to get home. I told Ronnie to hold on to him for as long as he could, I put a visor on and it made a big difference and Ronnie was world class. He is a fun horse and hopefully he will go in again. He is owned by Gary Devlin who is a good patron of mine and has War Hero and Is That Love with me. He always buys a cheap horse for fun and, if there is a beach (in Laytown) he could rock up there.
