Willie Mullins and Paul Townend secured a treble at Naas, including Sandsend's thrilling win in the Grade Three Limestone Lad HurdleSun 28th Jan
Albert Bartlett candidate completes Mullins' & Townend's treble
Willie Mullins and his stand-in stable jockey Paul Townend completed a treble at Naas today as Ballyward produced, in the words of the Champion Trainer, a “very dour performance.. in a hell of a race” to win the I.N.H. Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle. Sun 28th JanMullins and Townend complete double with Sandsend
Trainer Willie Mullins and jockey Paul Townend completed an opening races double at Naas today as Sandsend narrowly won the Grade 3 Limestone Lad Hurdle on his second Irish start. Sun 28th Jan
After race at Naas Sun, 28th Jan, 2018 (1st)
he's settled a good bit since his run in Limerick where he was keen. Probably dropping back to two miles suited him better as they went a right good gallop. He's a fine big galloping horse, and could be nice over fences. It was only his third (career) run, and he was very inexperienced against the horses he was meeting there. To be able to do that with the experience he had was very good. He should improve hugely from that and can go up a grade.
