We went home yesterday licking our wounds after three seconds and a close third,. That's a help to him (Carroll). He works very hard and is a hell of a good rider. It would be nice if he could go on and win it. It's a hard thing for a 3lb claimer to do, riding all year with just the 3lb, especially against a good crop. This mare deserved that as she's been consistent. She acts on that surface well. We might try her again next season. It would be great to get some blacktype. There is a race for her here next Friday and she might come back for that.

She loves it around here, she loves that surface and always runs a good race around here. The race unfolded well for her, they went fast early on and she loves plenty of pace. Gary [Carroll] knows her really well and she performs well for him. If the ground stays good we'll bring her to Cork next week for a handicap and if she improves enough we may go for the five furlong Listed Race here later in the season.

We have a lot of similar horses for these type of races and you just have to let them take on one and other. She wasn't winning out of turn and she loves this surface. We thought she'd win the last day at Fairyhouse.
