Lee stars at Cork with near 760/1 treble
Billy Lee certainly made the most of his opportunity with Wayne Lordan on the sidelines with a ban. He completed the first treble of his career when Overland Express took the finale on Cork's card, the Corkracecourse.ie Maiden. That success also brought up a double for the Tommy Stack yard, earlier on the mark with Cape Of Approval. Sun 16th Jun2 for Lee on Cape as Maarek under-performs
With 4/11 shot Maarek under-performing ('jumped' sluggishly and never really travelled) it was left to Cape Of Approval to continue his love affair with Cork when capturing the Listed Midsummer Sprint Stakes - bringing up a double for Billy Lee in the process.
