Larry gives McLoughlin first double
Dermot McLoughlin recorded his first ever double when Larry Capri gave the local handler a quick brace in the three-mile handicap chase at Fairyhouse. Wed 25th Jan
After race at Fairyhouse Wed, 25th Jan, 2017 (1st)
He kept going well. He jumped well and kept galloping. He said he liked the ground and kept plugging away,. He’s an old fashioned horse, keeps galloping, jumps well and stays all day. I remember Jim Dreaper telling me one time ‘the lad that keeps going has some chance - the lad that stops has none’. You can have all the speed in the world but if you don’t finish out.. He’s slow but he keeps galloping. We’ll see what the handicapper does now. He snuck in there a bit today, especially with Danny’s claim.
