After his heavy tumble from favourite Falak in the first, it didn't get any easier for Keith Donoghue in race five at Limerick as Moonlight Escape (6/4 market-leader) got rid of him at the fifth last. She had been so consistent all year, was in good form and keeps improving and is an amazing filly in fairness to her, . There is nothing of her there but she keeps improving, keeps eating and holding herself together. I wasn't sure when the fall-off would happen but it hasn't happened yet and that was an improvement again. Today was the target for a good while so I'm not sure where we go but she is going to be a 135 mare now. I was thrilled with Articulum but I didn't think he travelled great throughout the race. I told Phillip (Enright)not to be hard on him as it was his first run back and from a long way out he wasn't going to win the race. I trying to watch both horses with a couple of kids hanging off me as well so it was hard enough to watch but Articulum seemed to see it out well for a first run back and also in a handicap. He is very well handicapped over hurdles and I'm tempted to go for a handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse next. I'm also half-tempted to go to Cheltenham in November too but I'm not sure.

She ran at Bellewstown in a race which was a qualifier for the Galway Hurdle but that didn't work out and we were well beaten on the day. I don't know for what reason but she didn't travel and never got into it. She runs well around here and she seemed fresh enough so we left her take her chance here. Kevin said he felt he was going to win the whole way. We messed it up a few times with her by getting caught in behind and then going out in front but this time it was a peach of a ride. We'll come back here again in August.

I'm delighted with that and a little bit of improvement from Galway was going to put her right there. This was the target for a long time to get black-type with her and to win was fantastic. It was a smashing pot and in fairness she has been very consistent but not the easiest to train. She tries her best and any time you have a horse who tries, you have a chance. She is progressing and if she gets into the weights for the E100,00 two miles handicap hurdle she could run there next. It might come a little soon but if she comes out of it ok, that's where she'll go.

She wasn't beaten far in a bumper at Killarney where the winner and fourth went on to win since. Johnny said she travelled well today and had plenty left when he asked her,. I got her from the owner (Denis Wilson) a couple of months ago - I had never met the man but he asked me to train her and I've loved her from day one. She might have a break now.
