After a debut Harvest Festival third placing at Listowel Harriet Tubman went a couple of places better in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Cork.
As was the case first-time, Harriet Tubman again sported a tongue-strap and blinkers.
Easy-to-back, the 6/1 shot (from 7/2) fought off Angel Fish (16/1) and Proxy (14/1) by three parts of a length and half a length.
Money came for National Hunt mares Lakemilan (3/1 into 7/4 favourite) and Penny Out (9/1 into 6/1).
Lakemilan finished fourth. Penny Out meanwhile started slowly and was always trailing. She finished a tailed off last.
"It was only her second start and Kevin [Manning, winning rider] was very happy with her. She's still a little bit green and when she hit the front she could see the stalls on the inside and was having a look. Hopefully she can improve from that," said successful handler Jim Bolger's representative, Ger Flynn.
"Kevin said she could step up another furlong or two if wanted and we'll look for something from a mile and a quarter to a mile and six furlongs. She's learning quickly after taking a while to come to hand. She got stopped in her tracks at Listowel turning in, we thought she was unlucky then but she did it today."
A.J. Slattery, rider of Penny Out trained by John E. Kiely, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stood in the stalls and was slow to race.
