That's her finished now, she's in foal to In Swoop. It is great that Peter (Byrne, owner) was here today,. She was first reserve in Galway las week and he didn't come over because it didn't look like she was getting in. We got in last minute, so we are delighted. She's unbelievable, she has seven wins for me. She loves it here. She's keen and she is tough. She is just able to get a breather here and is easier on the jockey. It is actually 17 years ago today that I rode a bumper winner (on Luck's A Lady) for Neill McCluskey who died last month. I'd like to dedicate that win to him. It is very sad, he was a lovely fella.

We entered her up during the week but got balloted and she was first reserve here so Peter (Byrne, owner) didn't come over from Liverpool. Fair play to John McConnell though as he rang me yesterday to say he was taking out his horse so we got in,. She is in again tomorrow but I only stuck her in as it looked likely to be her third race to get balloted from. Today is probably her last flat run as she is in foal to In Swoop although she'll run again over hurdles in Downpatrick in a couple of weeks and that'll be her finished. That's her sixth win, she has black-type over jumps and is a tough mare. We picked her up for two-and-a-half grand and I'm delighted for Peter, who has had great craic with her. That's my first winner in Galway, I've had placed horses in the past and we always have just under 20 horses in training. I move them on if they aren't good enough for Ireland. This is a highlight as it is hard to win any race in Ireland and for her to win six is a brilliant achievement. Peter will probably keep her progeny so we'll have fun with those in the years ahead.

She's actually in foal to In Swoop and she loves it here - that is her third win here. She also has a win in Down Royal, so she likes the north. . Kevin gave her a great ride, he was a late sub. He was actually meant to ride her a few months ago and he got injured. He's a natural talent and I thought of him for her before. It is his first ride for us but he is very good. . I just told him to let her roll away, so it was the plan. He said that she was keen early, so he just let her on. Being in foal I'd say helped her, she looks great. We'll keep racing away as she is only just in foal. . She has got black-type over jumps and she's a tough mare. She is back well in herself. We will pick and choose and mix with the Flat. We might travel and I think we will leave Kevin on board.

Luke gave her a brilliant ride, he knows her very well. We gave her a bit of a break over the summer and she came back fresh. Peter, the owner, is here for the day - he is based in Liverpool and is actually originally a local man. We just kept it simple on her. She was down to her last winning mark on the Flat. My horses are in great order, thank God, and long may it last. She is a real honest mare and is a black-type mare over hurdles. In the spring, she ran well but the others just weren't 100 per cent. We gave her a bit of time and are delighted with her. She's in again at Tramore, I was tempted when she was that well. We had a few winners recently and one winner got 15lb. In the 45-65 grade she is well in. We'll see how she is, but we might go to Tramore. She's a fun mare and I think we haven't seen the best of her. She might go to Gowran at the end of the month for a mares' Listed hurdle, she is rated 123 over hurdles and hasn't run over hurdles in a while. She got a bad fall over fences when she was probably going to win last year in Sligo and it kind of set her back. It took us a while to get her right, but she is in good nick now.

She had a great run in Cheltenham (11th in Mares Novice Hurdle) and she didn't have a race at all in Punchestown. It probably left her fresh as she was bucking and squealing after it. She loves the track and the owner is actually local originally so it is great for him and he is over so we are delighted. Johnny would be a good friend of mine and he does a lot of schooling for me. She was 2lb in as he lost his 5lb claim last night. He's a great rider and a great horse man. I was a little bit worried about the rain coming but she seems to love this track. She can be keen and it suits her. Johnny had her settled like a baby. He kept it very simple and he got her rolling down the hill. She's a lovely filly and she won well in Dundalk and I think we will have a bit of fun with her. She will jump a fence too. We'll tip away and mix it. She's a big filly so we wouldn't be afraid to go over a fence with her. Peter Byrne, the owner, lives in Aintree so that will be the long-term plan, the dream is still alive anyway!. She has a lovely pedigree and we picked her up for two and a half grand. I think the fun hasn't finished yet.

She's a different filly now. She had a break and actually ran better than the result says at Christmas time when the ground went a bit soft. We expected a big run the last day and she was just pipped, she probably needed the run and came on from it there. She had a good few runs last year and I think she's strengthened up with a break. She loves racing, she's as tough as anything, and I think she's a different filly this year. She has only turned five, she has a lovely pedigree as well so we'll have a bit of fun with her and mix it between the jumps and the Flat. Luke gave her a lovely ride and he's actually rode her every time that she's ran well. I think we'll have to keep him on board. We've only a couple for the winter but they've all been running nicely. We've got a big bunch of young horses for the Flat and we're looking forward to it.

She has probably been schooling since February. She has been competitive on the Flat, she was only beaten a short head in a big field at Leopardstown. She was running well on the Flat so we kept there but she has been schooling in between and Luke has done a great job with her. She can be keen. I stuck a tongue-tie on her today not because of her wind but because I thought she was getting her tongue over the bit. I thought it might help but I don't know if it did as she was so keen. She was impressive and I was delighted with her. We fancied her as much as you can on first run over hurdles. We have a little double going on with the filly in Killarney later on (Mary Salome) so hopefully it comes off. She was probably overpriced if you look at her form. Luke must have schooled her 10 times at home so that was a big advantage. Luke is a talented rider and he gave her a lovely ride. I think she could be a nice filly once she has a few runs over hurdles as she might settle. Maybe a tight track suits her as well. We could have a little bit of fun with her and we will probably go to Galway. I'm delighted for the owner, Peter Byrne, he's from the north of Ireland and he lives in England now. It's the first winner over jumps in my name. We'll Go Again was second the other day in a maiden hurdle and they are our only two jumpers. We have about 20 horses and the rest of them are all on the Flat, some are dual purpose. We are open for more jumpers, we have a good strike rate over jumps n
