I was very impressed when I saw him winning so easily and even more so when Kevin told me the pace they were going. He thought that they might have been going a stride too fast but that wasn't the case. He was well up to it and he flew home. He'll come on a little bit for the run but he doesn't need to. Hopefully he'll go for the Dewhurst . it's one of our favourite haunts and hopefully we'll get there. We'll talk about it (plans) at the end of the year and whatever Sheikh Mohammed decides will be fine with me. It's always nice when a horse has been off for so long, to get the win and get the job done. There is some relief. It was the same with his father (New Approach) in the same race. He went a relentless gallop and he quickened off it. Like father like son. He'll make a very smart miler and if he stays any further it'll be a bonus. The ground was a slight concern but he handled it very well. Even if it was a little bit worse at Newmarket we'd be tempted.

He is a smart horse. We have a choice of races for him now (at Royal Ascot). I was originally thinking of the Chesham but Kevin said he could go anywhere and when he says that they can go anywhere. Paddy Spain (his joint owner) is a very patient man. The dam was quiet good too. She had a fall on a gravel path and had a lot of chips in her joint and we could never get her right. We didn't get the breeding right with her at first but I still had the confidence to send her to a Derby winner.

Well it's good to see you all again! (the press). I was hoping he would win it but you never know what is in them races. He is a very laid back colt, a bit different to his old man. He will improve a lot and when he goes up in trip. I wouldn't be getting carried away with him. Hopefully we will be back here in September with him (for the National Stakes).
